Kai Yu is a senior engineer and solution architect in Dell Oracle Solutions Engineering Lab and has been working with Oracle Technology as an Oracle DBA, Oracle Apps DBA since 1995.   Kai specializes in Oracle RAC, Oracle E-Business suite and Oracle VM, and also has extensive knowledge and experiences on IT infrastructure such as X86 servers, SAN storage system, network and Linux.  He has published 21  technical whitepapers  and given about  60 technical presentations at major oracle technology conferences worldwide such as Oracle OpenWorld 06-12 , keynote at Oracle Architect Day2012, Collaborate08-12, UKOUG Tech & EBS, EMEA OUG Harmony 2012 Conferences tour, Oracle OpenWorld 2010 Asia,  OTN APAC tour 2011 and OTN Latin America Tour 2011.   Kai is an Oracle ACE Director and selected as Oracle ACE spotlight  in June 2011, and he also was featured in Oracle Magazine Sept/Oct 2010 issue. Kai was the former president of IOUG Oracle RAC SIG in 2009-2010 and the RAC performance and High Availability Boot camp manager at IOUG Collaborate conference 2010 and 2011, 2012 respectively. Kai is a co-founder of IOUG virtualization SIG. In April 2011 at Collaborate 11 conference Kai received  the 2011 OAUG Innovator of Year award for his innovative work on virtualizing Oracle E-Business suite on Oracle VM.  At Oracle OpenWorld 2012, Kai received the 2012 Oracle Excellence Award: Technologist  of the Year: Cloud Architect by oracle magazine.  Kai has been active in sharing his Oracle knowledge on his Oracle blog http://kyuoracleblog.wordpress.com/.  Currently Kai is co-authoring a new Apress book “Expert Oracle RAC”  with two other fellow Oracle ACE directors.
